New Client Information
Gruda Veterinary Hospital welcomes both you and your pets.
If you are new to Santa Fe or just searching for the right veterinarian
for your pet, please feel free to call our offices or
stop by for a tour of our facility and a chance to meet the staff. To
follow is some general information about our facility and staff.
Appointments
Gruda Veterinary Hospital will be happy to make an appointment for
any of your veterinary needs whether it be for well care, vaccinations,
dental care, illness, surgery consult or acupuncture. The receptionists
or a doctor will be happy to discuss your pet’s needs to determine
which doctor is best for both you and your pet.
For those difficult cases, our doctors consult with each other in
an effort to best serve your pet. We also maintain a close
working relationship with many veterinary specialists and consultants
in the case that your pet needs care outside the realm of our doctors.
What are your office hours?
We are open 7:30-5:30 Monday through Friday and 8:00am – 12 Noon
on Saturday.
Do I need to make an appointment?
We do schedule appointments Monday through Friday. Saturday
hours are walk-in.
My pet is sick, what if I can’t get an appointment?
We try to keep one of our doctors available to care for acutely
sick animals or emergencies. If your pet becomes ill, call
our office immediately and we will make sure one of our doctors is
able to see him/her the same day.
What if I have an emergency and can’t or don’t have time
to call?
Please put your animal in the car and come to our office immediately. If
you can call on the way, we will be prepared when you arrive. If
you can’t call ahead, that is OK. If you need help getting
your pet into the hospital, please let the receptionist know and
we will send out assistance immediately.
What if my pet becomes injured or sick after business hours?
One of our veterinarians always carries a pager. If you call
our normal business number after hours, our voice mail will give
you the pager number. When you page, one of our veterinarians
will call and discuss your pet’s needs. At that time, the veterinarian
will be able to tell you if your pet can wait to be seen tomorrow,
give you hints of things you may be able to do at home, or let you
know if you should go to the Emergency Clinic for immediate treatment.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and CareCredit. If
you are having difficulty paying for your pet visit, please ask our
receptionist or doctor about CareCredit. |
